Hamel Legion Park 3200 Mill Drive, Uptown Hamel, MN 55340 The largest park in our system at almost 40 acres, Hamel Legion Park is just south of Uptown Hamel. Amenities include ballfields, tennis courts (which are dual-striped for pickleball), paved walking trails, a playground, pavilions, sand volleyball, basketball, a sledding hill, skating rink and warming house, and a lot of open space. Holy Name Park 400 County Road 24, Wayzata, MN 55391 This neighborhood park located on a major county road is just 2 acres in size. On the south side of Holy Name Lake, the park was not created to support any concentrated urban development area, but serves several functions as a wayside rest, picnic area, and public use of Holy Name Lake. Hunter Lions Park 3195 Hunter Drive, Hamel, MN 55340 This 6.8-acre neighborhood mainly serves the residential properties south of Hamel Road along Hunter Drive. Lakeshore Park 2975 Lakeshore Avenue, Maple Plain, MN 55359 This neighborhood park is situated on the east side of Lake Independence; less than one-acre it mainly serves the Independence Beach area of the city and provides boat access to the lake for Medina residents through a no-charge permit process to ensure residents are educated on Aquatic Invasive Species - as mandated by the DNR. Maple Park 4400 Maple Street, Maple Plain, MN 55359 Located just off County Road 19, this 2.5-acre neighborhood park overlooks Lake Ardmore and mainly serves the Independence Beach area of the city in conjunction with the other two parks in the area. Medina Lake Preserve 4532 Bluebell Trail S, Hamel, MN 55340 This beautiful 70-acre nature area is located east of Bridgewater at Lake Medina (accessible via a unique bridge over the wetlands) and north of Marsh Pointe Preserve subdivisions, abutting Lake Medina. Medina Morningside Park 2522 Bobolink Road, Long Lake, MN 55356 This 2.4-acre neighborhood park is located near the southern border of the city and mainly serves the Medina Morningside and Keller Estates subdivisions. Tomann Preserve 3112 Pioneer Trail, Hamel, MN 55340 This nature area is 16 acres of land comprised of wetlands and uplands which were historically located in what is called the “Big Woods” ecosystem as part of the deciduous forest biome.
