Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the City’s roadways, sewer and water utilities, compost and brush disposal site, parks and trails, and maintenance for all property, buildings, parks, open spaces, vehicles, and equipment.  The Department is also responsible for the MS4 permit and stormwater pollution prevention plan, the wellhead protection plan, the hazardous waste generator program, administering the Park Commission, and authorizing right-of-way permits for underground utilities and park amenity rentals for field and open space usage.

Most streets lights within the City of Medina are Xcel Energy’s responsibility to repair or replace bulbs, however, in some developments the homeowner association is responsible. Please check with your association prior to reporting a street light issue.
