Spring Road Restrictions

Spring load restrictions start on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 12:01 A.M. Medina does not issue weight-increase permits during road weight restrictions, other than for emergency utility situations. Truck deliveries will need to wait until restrictions are lifted – or dropped off in smaller loads. The exact dates when seasonal limits are removed vary depending on temperature variations.

The City of Medina partners with Hennepin County to provide assessing services, including market value estimates and property classification in Medina, which determine property taxes. If you disagree with your property assessment, you have the right to appeal.

Hamel Water Treatment Plant Expansion and Upgrades Project

The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that delivers water to the Hamel Water System is in the process of being expanded and upgraded. The WTP removes unwanted Iron & manganese and was originally constructed with two filters along with space for the additional third filter. This project involves the addition of that third filter which will help Medina reliably meet the City’s growing water demands.

Medina Clean-Up Day

Hosted by Public Works in response to federal regulations requiring municipalities to educate the public on protecting stormwater quality, the City of Medina is sponsoring a citywide cleanup day the last Saturday in April from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Public Works Facility, 600 Clydesdale Trail.
