Building Permits & Inspections

Permit-Pic.jpg
  • Medina's Building Division reviews plans, issues permits, and performs site inspections.
  • Permits are required to ensure construction and repair work are completed correctly and complies with the Minnesota State Building Code.
  • Permits are required whether a contractor or the homeowner performs the work. Projects are not complete until a final inspection is approved by a City inspector. If any code issues are identified, they will need to be corrected by the permit applicant before the permit can be closed.
  • Permits must be paid for prior to any work beginning or inspections scheduled.
